Too Much Time - I looked forward to this book since I have enjoyed other novels by Barclay. But I found it a bit disapointing. This book isn t so much a whodunnit as a what happened. The story is about a family gone missing, and attempts to still discover what happened by the lone survivor twenty five years later. While is there is some real suspense I felt that Barclay was prolonging things. I also found much of what transpired fairly predictable. That by itself is not a real problem, for in most mysteries, the outcome isn t the issue, but how we get there is what good suspense is about. And after a leisurely told story the climax is a bit too overdone. It is as if i have been walking along a path very slowly just wandering on my own when all of a sudden I have to run through a whole bunch of stuff. As I said, not a bad book at all, but it seemed too long for me. I kept saying, well get on with it already.
Absolute edge of your seat page turner!! - What an incredible suspenseful read - you can t help being part of the story, feeling your nerves tingle and waiting for it going to happen next. I couldn t stop reading, I found myself holding my breath with the twists and turns. This author is simply amazing.
